This course is designed to enhance the physician's knowledge and use of bedside ultrasound for decision making in a time sensitive situation and allow practice of the techniques that need to be implemented to determine diagnosis and clinically manage the patient.
1. Demonstrate basic knobology and physics of bedside ultrasound.
2. Describe various types of ultrasound used in the emergency department or acute care setting.
3. Interpret various types of scans using ultrasound machines on task trainers and human models.
4. Demonstrate how to perform ultrasound guided procedures on various task trainers.
